Delhi Poll Body Clarifies Voter List Notices

Delhi's election body clarified that receiving a notice during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) does not automatically mean a voter's name will be deleted. The Chief Electoral Officer stated no name can be removed without a hearing and a reasoned order. Notices are part of verification, not exclusion. This clarification follows the Aam Aadmi Party questioning the SIR process, alleging difficulties for ordinary voters and questioning rules applied to political leaders.
