13 Elephants Killed By Poachers In Odisha

In Odisha, 13 out of 256 elephant deaths over the past three years were attributed to poaching. Forest minister Ganesh Ram Singhkhuntia informed the assembly that 32 poachers were arrested during this period. The state has implemented various measures to prevent unnatural elephant deaths, including habitat protection, anti-poaching camps, and modern technology deployment. Over the same period, elephant attacks resulted in 431 human fatalities and damage to 457 houses.

ओडिशा में पिछले तीन सालों में 256 हाथियों की मौत हुई, जिनमें से 13 शिकार की वजह से हुईं। वन मंत्री गणेश राम सिंहखूंटिया ने विधानसभा को बताया कि इस दौरान 32 शिकारियों को पकड़ा गया। राज्य में हाथियों की अप्राकृतिक मौतों को रोकने के लिए कई कदम उठाए गए हैं, जैसे जंगल बचाना, शिकार विरोधी कैंप लगाना और नई तकनीक का इस्तेमाल करना। इसी दौरान, हाथियों के हमलों में 431 लोगों की जान गई और 457 घर तबाह हो गए।
