Kerala HC Dismisses Augustine Brothers' Plea in Tree

The Kerala High Court has dismissed a petition by the Augustine brothers seeking to stay proceedings in a cheating case related to the Muttil tree-felling incident. The court directed the Chottanikkara court to commence trial proceedings from September 22 and conclude the matter within six months. The brothers argued that parallel proceedings would prejudice them, but the court found no grounds to halt the trial.

केरल हाई कोर्ट ने मुत्तिल पेड़ कटाई मामले से जुड़े धोखाधड़ी केस में कार्यवाही रोकने की ऑगस्टीन भाइयों की याचिका खारिज कर दी है। कोर्ट ने चोत्तानिकारा कोर्ट को 22 सितंबर से ट्रायल शुरू करने और छह महीने में मामला निपटाने का आदेश दिया है। भाइयों का कहना था कि समानांतर कार्यवाही से उन्हें नुकसान होगा, लेकिन कोर्ट ने सुनवाई रोकने का कोई कारण नहीं पाया।
