Iran Claims Downing US Drone Near Bandar Abbas; Trump Hints At Renewed Strikes

Times of India · world

Iran's air defence system has reportedly shot down a US drone, identified as a LUCAS one-way combat drone, over the port city of Bandar Abbas. This claim comes amid renewed hints from US President Donald Trump about potential military action against Iran, though he also left open the possibility of a diplomatic agreement. Trump stated that the US might launch another operation if an agreement is not reached. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi asserted that any resumption of conflict would not alter Tehran's policies, warning against further attempts.
