Flooding and rising reservoir levels have disrupted normal life across several southern Tamil Nadu districts, including Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli, and Theni. Authorities have closed tourist attractions and beaches, while an orange alert has been issued for very heavy rain in some districts. The weather department forecasts continued heavy rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds for several southern regions.
