West Bengal's school syllabus is undergoing significant changes, with the state government deciding to add new chapters and remove some old ones. The revised curriculum will now include lessons on Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of the Jan Sangh, detailing his life and contributions. This move is seen as an effort to incorporate the legacy of a nationalist leader connected to Bengal into the state's educational framework. Concurrently, the Singur movement has been removed from the syllabus, marking a notable shift in historical narratives presented to students.
