12 Rayo Vallecano Fans Face Bans and Fines for Match Protest

Spain's anti-violence commission has proposed punishments for 12 Rayo Vallecano supporters involved in a protest that disrupted a La Liga match. The fans threw paper airplanes and other objects onto the field during the October 10 game against Athletic Bilbao, forcing its suspension. One fan faces a 5,000 euro fine and a one-year stadium ban, while 11 others are set for 3,000 euro fines and six-month bans. The protest stemmed from fan dissatisfaction with club owner and president Raúl Martín Presa.
