Dalit Student Found Dead, Principal, Teacher, 2 Students Booked

Police in Coimbatore have booked a school principal, a teacher, and two students for abetting the suicide of a Class 11 Dalit student. The boy was found dead at his home on October 21. His parents allege he was harassed by his teacher and classmates for his caste and for consuming beef. The teacher had reportedly asked Scheduled Caste students if they consumed beef, leading to the victim's alleged targeting. All four accused have been detained, with the principal and teacher suspended.

कोयंबटूर पुलिस ने एक स्कूल के प्रिंसिपल, एक टीचर और दो छात्रों पर 11वीं कक्षा के एक दलित छात्र को आत्महत्या के लिए उकसाने का मामला दर्ज किया है। लड़के का शव 21 अक्टूबर को उसके घर पर मिला था। उसके माता-पिता का आरोप है कि उसे उसकी जाति और बीफ खाने के कारण टीचर और सहपाठियों ने परेशान किया था। कथित तौर पर टीचर ने अनुसूचित जाति के छात्रों से पूछा था कि क्या वे बीफ खाते हैं, जिससे पीड़ित को निशाना बनाया गया। चारों आरोपियों को हिरासत में ले लिया गया है, जबकि प्रिंसिपल और टीचर को निलंबित कर दिया गया है।
