A 44-year-old Salvadoran woman was dramatically rescued after spending nearly a day in the Ionian Sea. She was found clinging to a lifebuoy approximately 20 hours after going overboard from the Royal Caribbean ship Odyssey of the Seas near Zakynthos, Greece. A cargo ship located her, and the Hellenic Coast Guard then brought her to safety. Following her rescue, she was taken to a local hospital, and a psychiatric evaluation was ordered by a prosecutor.
