केंद्रीय मंत्री सुकांता मजूमदार ने ऐज़वाल वेस्टर्न बाईपास निर्माण की समीक्षा की और ठेकेदार को 45 किलोमीटर की इस परियोजना को समय सीमा तक पूरा करने का निर्देश दिया। उन्होंने काम में तेजी लाने के लिए अतिरिक्त मजदूरों और मशीनरी की भी मांग की, जो वर्तमान में 33.61% पूरा हो चुका है। 500 करोड़ रुपये की इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य शहर में ट्रैफिक जाम को कम करना और लेंग्पुई हवाई अड्डे और सैरांग रेलवे स्टेशन से कनेक्टिविटी में सुधार करना है। इस रणनीतिक बाईपास से क्षेत्र में पर्यटन और आर्थिक अवसरों को बढ़ावा मिलने की उम्मीद है।
