A 60-year-old man, identified as Parshuram, was brutally hacked to death in Palamu district's Mangradeeh village on suspicion of practising witchcraft. The incident occurred around 6:30 am under the Naudeeha Bazaar police station limits. Police believe the murder was motivated by superstition and revenge after a neighbour's son, Vivek Kumar, died. Enraged family members of Vivek allegedly attacked Parshuram, blaming his alleged witchcraft for the youth's illness and death. Parshuram sustained severe throat wounds, and his body was sent for a postmortem examination.

पलामू जिले के मंगराडीह गांव में 60 वर्षीय परशुराम नाम के एक व्यक्ति को डायन-प्रथा का शक होने पर बेरहमी से काट कर मार डाला गया। यह घटना सुबह करीब 6:30 बजे नौडीहा बाजार थाना क्षेत्र में हुई। पुलिस का मानना है कि यह हत्या अंधविश्वास और बदले की भावना से की गई है, क्योंकि एक पड़ोसी के बेटे विवेक कुमार की मौत हो गई थी। विवेक के नाराज परिवार वालों ने कथित तौर पर परशुराम पर हमला किया, और युवक की बीमारी और मौत के लिए उसकी कथित डायन-प्रथा को जिम्मेदार ठहराया। परशुराम के गले पर गंभीर चोटें आईं, और उसके शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया गया।
