A severe European drought this summer is significantly damaging crops across the continent, affecting produce like potatoes in the Netherlands and corn in Bosnia. Dutch bank Triodos has issued a warning regarding the economic consequences. The bank estimates that the drought could reduce the European Union's gross domestic product by 1 percent in 2026.
