Banking Services Hit By Nationwide Strike

Banking services across India were significantly impacted as employees and officers of public sector banks participated in a nationwide strike. Most bank branches reported either complete or partial closures. The strike was called by unions to press their demand for a five-day workweek. पूरे देश में बैंकों की सेवाएं ठप रहीं क्योंकि सरकारी बैंकों के कर्मचारी और अधिकारी हड़ताल पर थे। ज़्यादातर बैंक शाखाएं या तो पूरी तरह बंद रहीं या आंशिक रूप से खुली रहीं। बैंक यूनियनों ने पांच दिन के कार्य सप्ताह की मांग को लेकर यह हड़ताल बुलाई थी। इस वजह से लाखों ग्राहकों को ज़रूरी बैंकिंग काम कराने में दिक्कत हुई।
