Guntur Municipal Corporation Commissioner K Mayur Ashok announced the dismissal of two APCOS employees for violating the model code of conduct during local body elections. Edulamudi Sarojini Devi, an unskilled worker, filed her nomination for corporator from Ward 67 without resigning from her government-related job. Additionally, Shaik Ajatullah, an APCOS electrician, was found to have participated in open election campaigning with a political candidate. Both actions constitute clear violations of election rules and regulations. Ashok warned all government and contractual employees against engaging in political activities or campaigning.
