Sanitation Workers Honoured with Saris Under 'Arpana' Programme in Mangaluru

On Mahatma Gandhi's 157th birth anniversary, the 'Arpana' programme in Mangaluru honoured 65 women sanitation workers for their selfless service. Organised by Swachh Mangaluru Prathisthana, the event recognized their dedication by presenting them with saris. MCC Commissioner Rahul Ratnam Pandey emphasized the importance of respecting and appreciating sanitation workers, urging citizens to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness and segregating waste. Ramakrishna Math president Swami Jitakamanandaji Maharaj described sanitation work as a sacred service, highlighting the collective responsibility to honour these individuals.

महात्मा गांधी की 157वीं जयंती पर, मंगलुरु में 'अर्पण' कार्यक्रम में 65 महिला स्वच्छता कर्मचारियों को उनकी निस्वार्थ सेवा के लिए सम्मानित किया गया। स्वच्छ मंगलुरु प्रतिष्ठान द्वारा आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम में उन्हें साड़ी भेंट कर उनके समर्पण को सराहा गया। एमसीसी आयुक्त राहुल रत्नम पांडे ने स्वच्छता कर्मचारियों का सम्मान और सराहना करने के महत्व पर जोर दिया, और नागरिकों से स्वच्छता बनाए रखने और कचरा अलग करने में सहयोग करने का आग्रह किया। रामकृष्ण मठ के अध्यक्ष स्वामी जिताकामनानंदजी महाराज ने स्वच्छता कार्य को एक पवित्र सेवा बताया, और इन व्यक्तियों का सम्मान करने की सामूहिक जिम्मेदारी पर प्रकाश डाला।
