Jaishankar Raises Russian Oil Tariff Concerns With US

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Jaishankar raised India’s interests and concerns regarding a US sanctions bill that could impose tariffs of up to 100% on Russian oil imports. India is among the top five buyers of Russian oil and gas. The two leaders also discussed the situations in the Gulf and Ukraine during their meeting.

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा के इतर अमेरिकी विदेश मंत्री मार्को रुबियो से मुलाकात की। जयशंकर ने रूस से तेल आयात पर 100% तक टैरिफ लगाने वाले अमेरिकी प्रतिबंध विधेयक पर भारत के हितों और चिंताओं को उठाया। भारत रूस से तेल और गैस खरीदने वाले शीर्ष पांच देशों में से एक है। दोनों नेताओं ने खाड़ी और यूक्रेन की मौजूदा स्थिति पर भी चर्चा की।
