Despite layoffs and uncertainty in traditional IT roles due to AI, specialized jobs in India's technology sector are commanding significant salary premiums. Roles in AI, machine learning, cloud engineering, and data science are increasingly valuable, with professionals who can build, integrate, secure, and manage AI systems seeing the highest demand. A report indicates that AI Architects can earn up to Rs 1.08 crore annually, while Industrial Data Architects and OT Security Architects also command high salaries, reflecting a shift towards skill-differentiated compensation.
