Election Commission Bars Transfer of Officials Engaged in UP Voter Roll Revision

The Election Commission has prohibited the transfer of officials involved in Uttar Pradesh's Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls without prior approval. This restriction is in effect from the draft roll publication until the final publication. The directive applies to all officers engaged in preparing, revising, and updating voter lists, including District Election Officers and Electoral Registration Officers. To ensure continuity, the commission also mandated that posts crucial for revision work must not remain vacant during the entire process.

चुनाव आयोग ने उत्तर प्रदेश की मतदाता सूची के विशेष संक्षिप्त संशोधन में लगे अधिकारियों के तबादले पर पहले मंजूरी के बिना रोक लगा दी है। यह रोक मसौदा सूची के प्रकाशन से लेकर अंतिम प्रकाशन तक प्रभावी रहेगी। यह निर्देश मतदाता सूची तैयार करने, संशोधित करने और अद्यतन करने में लगे सभी अधिकारियों पर लागू होता है, जिनमें जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी और निर्वाचक पंजीकरण अधिकारी शामिल हैं। निरंतरता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए, आयोग ने यह भी अनिवार्य किया है कि संशोधन कार्य के लिए महत्वपूर्ण पदों को पूरी प्रक्रिया के दौरान खाली नहीं रखा जाना चाहिए।
