NHAI Begins Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway FOB Work After Pedestrian Deaths

The Hindu · india

Work has commenced on a long-delayed pedestrian foot overbridge (FOB) at Kaniminike on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, following multiple pedestrian fatalities and injuries. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is addressing this black spot after over six months of stalled construction. The delay was attributed to design changes requested by property owners and issues with steel prices. The contractor expects the FOB to be completed and opened to the public within the next 10 days, offering a safer crossing for over 1,000 students and local residents.
