The Akal Takht jathedar, Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, has instructed Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member Karnail Singh Panjoli to cease discussions with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The directive concerns the ongoing issue of seeking the release of Sikh political prisoners, referred to as 'Bandi Singhs'. The Akal Takht has deemed further meetings with the Chief Minister on this matter to be unproductive.
