Bavdhan Residents Launch Email Campaign Against Polluting RMC Plants

Residents of Bavdhan, Pune, have initiated an email campaign targeting seven alleged ready-mix concrete (RMC) plants, sending over 2,000 emails to authorities on Tuesday. Despite two years of complaints and official notices from bodies like the MPCB and PMC, these plants reportedly continue to operate, causing dust pollution, slurry discharge, and traffic congestion. Residents claim prolonged exposure has led to health issues, and heavy vehicle movement poses safety risks. They aim to ensure all illegal and polluting plants are shut down through sustained communication and peaceful escalation.

पुणे के बावधन के निवासियों ने मंगलवार को अधिकारियों को 2,000 से अधिक ईमेल भेजकर सात कथित रेडी-मिक्स कंक्रीट (RMC) प्लांट के खिलाफ एक ईमेल अभियान शुरू किया है। MPCB और PMC जैसी संस्थाओं से दो साल की शिकायतों और आधिकारिक नोटिसों के बावजूद, ये प्लांट कथित तौर पर काम कर रहे हैं, जिससे धूल प्रदूषण, स्लरी डिस्चार्ज और यातायात जाम हो रहा है। निवासियों का दावा है कि लंबे समय तक संपर्क में रहने से स्वास्थ्य समस्याएं हुई हैं, और भारी वाहनों की आवाजाही से सुरक्षा जोखिम पैदा होता है। उनका लक्ष्य निरंतर संचार और शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से सभी अवैध और प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले प्लांट को बंद करवाना है।
