Military Surgeons Conduct Eye Surgeries Underground Near LoC

Military surgeons have performed 220 sight-restoring surgeries for the first time in an underground operating theatre near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The two-day eye camp, part of Operation Drishti, was held in the shelling-prone Tangdhar area and was visited by Army chief General Dhiraj Seth. The team, led by Brigadier Sanjay Mishra, used advanced equipment to perform cataract, retinal, and glaucoma surgeries. This initiative highlights the military's commitment to providing advanced medical care even in challenging border regions, ensuring access to essential procedures for local populations.

जम्मू-कश्मीर में नियंत्रण रेखा (Line of Control) के पास एक भूमिगत ऑपरेशन थिएटर में सेना के डॉक्टरों ने पहली बार 220 आँखों की रोशनी ठीक करने वाली सर्जरी की है। ऑपरेशन दृष्टि के तहत दो दिन का यह आई कैंप टंगधार इलाके में हुआ, जहाँ अक्सर गोलाबारी होती रहती है। सेना प्रमुख जनरल धीरज सेठ ने भी इसका दौरा किया। ब्रिगेडियर संजय मिश्रा के नेतृत्व वाली टीम ने मोतियाबिंद, रेटिना और ग्लूकोमा की सर्जरी के लिए आधुनिक उपकरणों का इस्तेमाल किया। यह पहल सीमावर्ती इलाकों में भी सेना की उन्नत चिकित्सा सुविधाएँ देने की प्रतिबद्धता दर्शाती है।
