Shadman Islam Scores Century After 18 Months, Finally Overcoming West Indies' Challenge

TV9 Hindi · sports

Bangladesh opener Shadman Islam achieved a significant milestone by scoring a century against the West Indies in Mirpur. He reached the three-figure mark on the second day of the match, having been stranded on 99 overnight due to rain. This century marks his third in Test cricket and comes after an 18-month wait since his last hundred in April 2025. Islam had previously been dismissed in the 90s three times against the West Indies, including his debut innings. His determined 105-run knock finally ended West Indies' previous success against him.
