Chinese Kite String Claims Life in Gorakhpur; Policeman Suspended

A 35-year-old man, Ramesh Kanojia, died in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, after his neck was cut by a kite string while riding his motorcycle. He sustained severe injuries and bled profusely before being taken to the district hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. In response to the incident, the local outpost in-charge has been suspended. Police are initiating legal proceedings, including charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. A special 48-hour campaign against the sale and use of banned Chinese kite strings will be launched.
