Elderly Man Electrocuted While Spitting Gutkha From Under Construction House

An elderly man in Ganjbasoda, Vidisha district, Madhya Pradesh, died tragically after coming into contact with an 11 KV electricity line. The 60-year-old was reportedly on the ledge of an under-construction house where he resided and worked. He had gone to the ledge to spit gutkha when he touched the overhead power line. The current electrocuted him instantly, leaving his body hanging from the ledge. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. Locals have raised concerns about the proximity of the high-tension wires to residential areas.
