India's Industrial Output Surges 8% in August

India's industrial production experienced a significant acceleration in August 2026, growing by 8% year-on-year. This marks an increase from the revised 7.4% growth recorded in July, according to data from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. The manufacturing sector, which holds the largest weight in the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), saw a robust 9% expansion. Overall industrial output for April-August 2026 reached a cumulative growth of 6.7%, up from 4.2% in the same period last year, indicating a positive trend in the economy.

अगस्त 2026 में भारत के औद्योगिक उत्पादन में साल-दर-साल 8% की वृद्धि के साथ काफी तेज़ी देखी गई। सांख्यिकी और कार्यक्रम कार्यान्वयन मंत्रालय के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, यह जुलाई में दर्ज 7.4% की संशोधित वृद्धि से अधिक है। औद्योगिक उत्पादन सूचकांक (IIP) में सबसे अधिक भार वाले विनिर्माण क्षेत्र में 9% की मजबूत वृद्धि देखी गई। अप्रैल-अगस्त 2026 के लिए कुल औद्योगिक उत्पादन पिछले साल की इसी अवधि में 4.2% की तुलना में बढ़कर 6.7% हो गया, जो अर्थव्यवस्था में एक सकारात्मक रुझान का संकेत देता है।
