Maharashtra FDA has suspended the licenses of three Mumbai blood banks for violating voluntary donation norms by offering wristwatches as gifts. The Indian Red Cross Society, Grant Medical College, and BYL Nair Charitable Hospital blood banks faced brief suspensions after an inquiry into a camp held in April. National Blood Transfusion Council guidelines strictly prohibit remuneration or inducements for voluntary donations. FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe emphasized the administration's commitment to ensuring blood donation remains a voluntary act of social responsibility, free from any gifts or incentives.

महाराष्ट्र FDA ने तीन मुंबई ब्लड बैंकों के लाइसेंस निलंबित कर दिए हैं। इन पर स्वैच्छिक रक्तदान के नियमों का उल्लंघन करके दानदाताओं को उपहार के तौर पर कलाई घड़ियां देने का आरोप है। इंडियन रेड क्रॉस सोसाइटी, ग्रांट मेडिकल कॉलेज और बीवाईएल नायर चैरिटेबल हॉस्पिटल ब्लड बैंकों के लाइसेंस अप्रैल में आयोजित एक कैंप की जांच के बाद संक्षिप्त अवधि के लिए निलंबित किए गए थे। राष्ट्रीय रक्त संचरण परिषद (National Blood Transfusion Council) के दिशानिर्देश स्वैच्छिक दान के लिए किसी भी तरह के भुगतान या प्रलोभन को सख्त मना करते हैं।
