IMD Forecasts Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain in Southern India; Gusty Winds Likely

IMD has forecast thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds across several states over the next few days. Heavy rainfall is expected in Karnataka, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh, with conditions favourable for the onset of the northeast monsoon. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon is withdrawing from some regions. Light rain and strong winds are also anticipated in Delhi-NCR, potentially lowering temperatures. Several other northern and eastern states, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Odisha, are also expected to receive scattered rainfall.
