PM CARES Children Scheme: Aadhaar Authentication Mandatory For Scholarships

The Centre has mandated Aadhaar authentication for children seeking scholarship benefits under the PM CARES for Children Scheme. Beneficiaries must provide proof of possessing an Aadhaar number to receive financial assistance for education from Class 1 to Class 12. However, the scheme will not deny assistance to any child unable to complete authentication or lacking an Aadhaar number. In such cases, officials will verify identity using prescribed documents and assist with Aadhaar enrolment. Alternative documents are accepted for those below 18 years and for foreign nationals.

केंद्र सरकार ने पीएम केयर्स फॉर चिल्ड्रन स्कीम के तहत स्कॉलरशिप का लाभ चाहने वाले बच्चों के लिए आधार ऑथेंटिकेशन को ज़रूरी कर दिया है। पहली से 12वीं कक्षा तक की पढ़ाई के लिए आर्थिक मदद पाने के लिए लाभार्थियों को आधार नंबर होने का सबूत देना होगा। हालांकि, जो बच्चे ऑथेंटिकेशन पूरा नहीं कर पाते या जिनके पास आधार नंबर नहीं है, उन्हें मदद से वंचित नहीं किया जाएगा। ऐसे मामलों में, अधिकारी बताए गए दस्तावेज़ों से पहचान की पुष्टि करेंगे और आधार नामांकन में मदद करेंगे। 18 साल से कम उम्र के बच्चों और विदेशी नागरिकों के लिए वैकल्पिक दस्तावेज़ स्वीकार किए जाएंगे।
