BJP is scared of peaceful protests, detaining students: Aaditya Thackeray

He accused Mumbai Police of acting on orders from higher authorities and vowed that the agitation would spread across Maharashtra. Thackeray called for all party officials to gather at Shivaji Park and warned of consequences if the city shuts down. Activist Anjali Damania was among those detained, with police citing a lack of permission for the assembly.

शिवसेना (यूबीटी) नेता आदित्य ठाकरे ने बीजेपी की आलोचना की, कहा कि पार्टी शांतिपूर्ण प्रदर्शनों से डरती है और मुंबई में छात्रों को हिरासत में ले रही है। उन्होंने मुंबई पुलिस पर उच्च अधिकारियों के आदेश पर काम करने का आरोप लगाया और कसम खाई कि आंदोलन पूरे महाराष्ट्र में फैलेगा। ठाकरे ने सभी पार्टी अधिकारियों को शिवाजी पार्क में इकट्ठा होने के लिए कहा और चेतावनी दी कि अगर शहर बंद हुआ तो इसके परिणाम होंगे। कार्यकर्ता अंजलि दमानिया भी हिरासत में लिए गए लोगों में से थीं, पुलिस ने सभा की अनुमति न होने का हवाला दिया।
