US immigration arrests have surged recently due to increased local law enforcement cooperation and enhanced technology. However, preliminary data reveals deportations have not risen proportionally, indicating legal and logistical challenges. Despite record arrests nearing 51,000 in August, daily deportations remained around 1,200. This disconnect stems from targeting individuals with pending legal claims and a lack of available flights, capping deportation goals.
