GVMC Polls: Collector Issues Directions, Appeals to Voters and Employers

Ahead of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) elections on Sunday, District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore has issued directives and appeals. Polling will occur across 120 wards with 18,37,901 voters and 1,990 polling stations, including 104 sensitive and 570 hyper-sensitive locations. Campaigning has ceased, and a silent period is in effect. The Collector urged voters to carry valid ID and requested employers to grant paid leave or at least three hours off for employees to cast their ballots.
