Haryana Govt Schools Face Tablet Repair Crisis

Haryana's digital education program is stalled as over 1.85 lakh tablets in government schools are non-functional due to delays in repair and maintenance contracts. Gurgaon alone has nearly 50% of its 33,000 tablets unusable. Issues include cracked screens and system failures, with many devices collected after students bypassed security. The Rs 700-crore scheme aimed to support five lakh students. Approvals are now granted to expedite pending tenders and restore devices.

हरियाणा का डिजिटल शिक्षा कार्यक्रम रुक गया है। सरकारी स्कूलों के 1.85 लाख से ज़्यादा टैबलेट खराब पड़े हैं क्योंकि मरम्मत के कॉन्ट्रैक्ट में देरी हो गई है। अकेले गुरुग्राम में 33,000 टैबलेट में से आधे से ज़्यादा इस्तेमाल नहीं हो पा रहे। स्क्रीन टूटी हुई है और सिस्टम फेल हो रहे हैं। कई टैबलेट बच्चों के सिक्योरिटी बायपास करने के बाद जमा किए गए थे। 700 करोड़ रुपये की इस स्कीम से पांच लाख छात्रों को मदद मिलनी थी।
