LGBTQIA+ Panel Met Twice, Report Pending: Centre

A committee led by the Cabinet Secretary, established after the Supreme Court's 2023 same-sex marriage ruling, has reportedly met only twice in over two years. The panel was formed to investigate discrimination, welfare access, healthcare, and other entitlements for queer couples. A report detailing its findings and recommendations is still pending.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट के 2023 के समलैंगिक विवाह फैसले के बाद बनी कैबिनेट सेक्रेटरी की अध्यक्षता वाली समिति की दो साल में सिर्फ दो बार ही मीटिंग हुई है। इस पैनल को क्वीर जोड़ों के लिए भेदभाव, कल्याणकारी योजनाओं, स्वास्थ्य सेवा और अन्य सुविधाओं की जांच के लिए बनाया गया था। समिति की रिपोर्ट और सिफारिशें अभी आनी बाकी हैं।
