Rajasthan HC Quashes FIRs Against MLA Bansal & Family After 23-Year Delay

The Rajasthan High Court has quashed two FIRs registered against Hanumangarh MLA Ganeshraj Bansal, his wife Santosh Bansal, and other family members. The cases, related to alleged irregularities dating back to 2003 concerning the Hanumangarh Municipal Council and land matters, were initiated after an unexplained delay of nearly 23 years. Justice Ashok Kumar Jain noted that the prolonged delay amounted to an abuse of process and indicated potential harassment and retaliation. The court ordered the immediate release of MLA Bansal, who was in custody.

राजस्थान हाईकोर्ट ने हनुमानगढ़ के विधायक गणेशराज बंसल, उनकी पत्नी संतोष बंसल और परिवार के अन्य सदस्यों के खिलाफ दर्ज दो एफआईआर रद्द कर दी हैं। ये मामले, जो 2003 से हनुमानगढ़ नगर परिषद और भूमि मामलों से संबंधित कथित अनियमितताओं से जुड़े थे, लगभग 23 साल की लंबी देरी के बाद शुरू किए गए थे। जस्टिस अशोक कुमार जैन ने कहा कि अत्यधिक देरी प्रक्रिया का दुरुपयोग है और इससे उत्पीड़न और बदला लेने की संभावना है। कोर्ट ने विधायक बंसल की तत्काल रिहाई का आदेश दिया, जो हिरासत में थे।
