Five Arrested for Stealing 60 Quintals of Iron Rebars From Noida Construction Sites

Noida police have arrested five individuals suspected of stealing over 60 quintals of iron rebars from at least 16 construction sites across the city in the past month. The gang used a modified scooter for the thefts, with CCTV footage capturing their modus operandi. One suspect, with 15 prior cases, was injured in an exchange of fire with police during his arrest. The stolen materials were sold to a scrap dealer in Ghaziabad. Cases of attempt to murder and theft have been registered against the accused.

नोएडा पुलिस ने शहर भर की कम से कम 16 कंस्ट्रक्शन साइटों से पिछले एक महीने में 60 क्विंटल से ज़्यादा लोहे के सरिये चुराने के शक में पांच लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। गिरोह चोरी के लिए एक मॉडिफाइड स्कूटर का इस्तेमाल करता था, जिसका तरीका सीसीटीवी फुटेज में कैद हुआ। पुलिस के साथ हुई मुठभेड़ में एक आरोपी घायल हो गया, जिसके खिलाफ पहले से 15 मामले दर्ज थे। चोरी का माल गाजियाबाद के एक कबाड़ी को बेचा गया था। आरोपियों के खिलाफ हत्या के प्रयास और चोरी के मामले दर्ज किए गए हैं।
