Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has stated that Bollywood is currently only greenlighting devotional or patriotic films, making it difficult to produce diverse cinema. He noted that producers are unsure what to make, with only these two genres receiving approval. Kashyap believes this trend, exemplified by recent hits like Dhurandhar 2 and Hanuman Ansh, creates a challenging environment for other types of movies. He is currently backing the independently made children's film 'Little Thomas', hoping it can find an audience amidst this trend.

फिल्मकार अनुराग कश्यप ने कहा है कि बॉलीवुड में आजकल सिर्फ भक्ति या देशभक्ति वाली फिल्में ही बन रही हैं, जिससे अलग तरह की फिल्में बनाना मुश्किल हो गया है। उन्होंने बताया कि प्रोड्यूसर समझ नहीं पा रहे हैं कि क्या बनाएं, क्योंकि सिर्फ इन्हीं दो तरह की फिल्मों को मंजूरी मिल रही है। कश्यप का मानना है कि 'धुरंधर 2' और 'हनुमान अंश' जैसी हालिया हिट फिल्मों से यह ट्रेंड और मजबूत हुआ है, जिससे दूसरी तरह की फिल्मों के लिए मुश्किल माहौल बन गया है। वह फिलहाल स्वतंत्र रूप से बनी बच्चों की फिल्म 'लिटिल थॉमस' का समर्थन कर रहे हैं, उम्मीद है कि इस ट्रेंड के बीच यह फिल्म दर्शकों तक पहुंच पाएगी।
