वारंगल में SR University चलाने वाले SR Academy of Higher Education (SRAHE) को यूनिवर्सिटी ग्रांट्स कमीशन (UGC) से आधिकारिक तौर पर 'डीम्ड-टू-बी यूनिवर्सिटी' का दर्जा मिल गया है। यह संस्थान उभरती प्रौद्योगिकियों, डिजिटल स्वास्थ्य सेवा और इंटरडिसिप्लिनरी शिक्षा पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने की योजना बना रहा है, जिसमें अनुसंधान, नवाचार और उद्योग सहयोग पर जोर दिया जाएगा। मुख्य फोकस क्षेत्रों में सेमीकंडक्टर डिजाइन, क्वांटम कंप्यूटिंग, आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस और एडवांस्ड रोबोटिक्स शामिल हैं, साथ ही संबद्ध स्वास्थ्य विज्ञान को AI-आधारित डायग्नोस्टिक्स और रोबोटिक सर्जरी प्रशिक्षण के साथ एकीकृत किया जाएगा। इस कदम का उद्देश्य अकादमिक कार्यक्रमों को उद्योग की जरूरतों और राष्ट्रीय प्राथमिकताओं के साथ संरेखित करके हैदराबाद के डीप-टेक और जीवन विज्ञान पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र को मजबूत करना है।
