कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता दिग्विजय सिंह ने वोटर लिस्ट में गड़बड़ी का आरोप लगाते हुए सुप्रीम कोर्ट में एक याचिका दायर की है। उन्होंने दावा किया है कि चुनाव आयोग द्वारा इस्तेमाल किए गए सॉफ्टवेयर के कारण लगभग 13 करोड़ मतदाताओं के नाम मनमाने ढंग से हटा दिए गए हैं। सिंह का आरोप है कि इससे योग्य मतदाताओं को वोट देने से रोका जा रहा है और यह बीजेपी को फायदा पहुंचा रहा है, उन्होंने ऐसे उदाहरणों का हवाला दिया जहां चुनावों से पहले नाम हटा दिए गए और बाद में फिर से बहाल कर दिए गए। वह मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के इस्तीफे और SIR प्रक्रिया को रद्द करने की मांग कर रहे हैं।
