This action is part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged supply of adulterated ghee used in preparing laddu prasadams for the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The ED's probe, initiated after an FIR in Tirupati, revealed a conspiracy to supply adulterated ghee, manufactured by blending refined palm oil with chemicals. The companies allegedly supplied ghee worth ₹234.5 crore and used financial irregularities to conceal transactions.

प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) ने डेयरियों और उनके प्रमोटरों की ₹129.85 करोड़ की संपत्ति कुर्क की है। यह कार्रवाई तिरुमाला तिरुपति देवास्थानम (टीटीडी) के लड्डू प्रसाद बनाने में इस्तेमाल होने वाले मिलावटी घी की कथित आपूर्ति की चल रही जांच का हिस्सा है। तिरुपति में एफआईआर के बाद शुरू हुई ईडी की जांच में रसायनों के साथ रिफाइंड पाम तेल मिलाकर मिलावटी घी बनाने की साजिश का खुलासा हुआ। कंपनियों ने कथित तौर पर ₹234.5 करोड़ का घी बेचा और लेन-देन छिपाने के लिए वित्तीय अनियमितताओं का इस्तेमाल किया।
