CISF Scraps Territorial Commands for Functional Control

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is transitioning from a regional to a functional command structure starting November 1, with the Ministry of Home Affairs' approval. This change will improve operational oversight and sector-specific expertise by supervising installations industry by industry, rather than by region. Eight of the CISF's eleven sectors will adopt new functional roles, including dedicated commands for government buildings, monuments, mass transit, power, coal, steel, and petroleum. This move aims to enhance security practices and coordination with relevant ministries and installation managements.
