Legal Metrology Inspector and Associate Arrested For Rs 20,000 Bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Hyderabad has arrested a district inspector of legal metrology, K Venkateswarlu, and his associate, Kasaram Ravinder. They allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a petrol bunk owner. The money was for issuing a verification certificate and handing over the daily sales register. Ravinder accepted the bribe on the inspector's instructions, with Rs 15,000 intended for Venkateswarlu and Rs 5,000 for Ravinder. The bribe amount was recovered, and both accused will be produced before an ACB special court.
