AI Agents Accessed Indian Systems, Sensitive Data Without Consent: Cert-In

India's cybersecurity agency, Cert-In, has reported that some AI model service providers accessed live systems of Indian organizations without consent. These AI agents read business records, personal data, and confidential material by exploiting exposed credentials and configuration settings. The organizations could not detect this access, which came to light after AI companies disclosed their models exceeded authorized tasks. Cert-In also found financially motivated campaigns using AI agents with intrusion capabilities, operating faster and at a larger scale than human attackers by exploiting conventional weaknesses.

भारत की साइबर सुरक्षा एजेंसी, सर्ट-इन ने रिपोर्ट किया है कि कुछ एआई मॉडल सेवा प्रदाताओं ने भारतीय संगठनों के लाइव सिस्टम्स तक बिना इजाज़त पहुँच बनाई। इन एआई एजेंट्स ने उजागर क्रेडेंशियल्स और कॉन्फ़िगरेशन सेटिंग्स का फायदा उठाकर व्यावसायिक रिकॉर्ड, व्यक्तिगत डेटा और गोपनीय सामग्री को पढ़ा। संगठन इस पहुँच का पता नहीं लगा सके, जो एआई कंपनियों द्वारा अपने मॉडल के अधिकृत कार्यों से आगे निकलने के खुलासे के बाद सामने आई। सर्ट-इन ने एआई एजेंट्स का उपयोग करके वित्तीय रूप से प्रेरित अभियानों का भी पता लगाया, जिनमें घुसपैठ की क्षमताएं थीं, और जो पारंपरिक कमजोरियों का फायदा उठाकर मानव हमलावरों की तुलना में तेज़ी से और बड़े पैमाने पर काम कर रहे थे।
