Centre Eyes Rs 15,000 Crore From PSU Land Monetisation

The Indian government aims to generate Rs 15,000 crore by monetising land owned by central public sector enterprises (CPSEs) this financial year through the National Land Monetisation Corporation (NLMC). Transactions worth Rs 9,000 crore have already been finalised, with properties from BSNL, MTNL, RINL, and HMT among those targeted. The NLMC is also planning further monetisation of MTNL properties valued between Rs 5,000-6,000 crore over the next two years. This initiative helps debt-laden companies reduce their financial burdens and improve their balance sheets.

भारतीय सरकार इस वित्तीय वर्ष में नेशनल लैंड मोनेटाइजेशन कॉर्पोरेशन (NLMC) के जरिए केंद्रीय सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के उपक्रमों (CPSEs) के स्वामित्व वाली जमीन को मोनेटाइज करके ₹15,000 करोड़ जुटाने का लक्ष्य रखती है। ₹9,000 करोड़ के सौदे पहले ही फाइनल हो चुके हैं, जिनमें BSNL, MTNL, RINL और HMT की संपत्तियां शामिल हैं। NLMC अगले दो वर्षों में ₹5,000-6,000 करोड़ की MTNL संपत्तियों के और मोनेटाइजेशन की भी योजना बना रहा है। यह पहल कर्ज में डूबी कंपनियों को उनके वित्तीय बोझ को कम करने और उनके बैलेंस शीट को बेहतर बनाने में मदद करती है।
