पूर्व नीति आयोग सीईओ अमिताभ कांत ने क्रेडिट लागत कम करने और रोजगार-गहन विनिर्माण को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एसएलआर (Statutory Liquidity Ratio) घटाने का आह्वान किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्तमान 18% एसएलआर बहुत अधिक है और महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्रों में क्रेडिट प्रवाह को बाधित करता है। कांत ने चीन के मॉडल का हवाला देते हुए भूमि अधिग्रहण को आसान बनाने और प्रतिस्पर्धी बिजली लागत की आवश्यकता पर भी प्रकाश डाला। उनका मानना है कि भारत की विनिर्माण क्षमता और वैश्विक विश्वास का लाभ उठाने के लिए इन घरेलू कारकों को संबोधित करना आवश्यक है।
