Philippines Bangsamoro Election Results in Hung Parliament

The first parliamentary election in the Philippines’ Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao has resulted in a hung parliament, with no single party securing a majority. Unofficial results show two rival parties, emerging from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, each winning over 30 percent of the vote but falling short of the 41 seats needed for a majority in the 80-member parliament.
