Supreme Court Orders Expelled JD(U) MLA Anant Singh To Surrender In Worker's Killing Case

The Supreme Court has directed expelled Janata Dal (United) MLA Anant Singh to surrender by December 1 in connection with the murder of a Jan Suraaj worker. The worker, Dularchand Yadav, was found dead on October 30, 2025, following a clash between supporters of the JD(U) and Jan Suraaj. Singh, who was previously granted bail by the Patna High Court, had his bail cancelled by the apex court. The court has ordered the Bihar Police to complete the investigation within four months.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने निष्कासित जनता दल (यूनाइटेड) के विधायक अनंत सिंह को जन सुराज कार्यकर्ता की हत्या के संबंध में 1 दिसंबर तक आत्मसमर्पण करने का निर्देश दिया है। कार्यकर्ता, दुलारचंद यादव, 30 अक्टूबर, 2025 को जद(यू) और जन सुराज के समर्थकों के बीच झड़प के बाद मृत पाए गए थे। पटना उच्च न्यायालय द्वारा पहले जमानत दिए जाने के बाद, शीर्ष अदालत ने सिंह की जमानत रद्द कर दी थी। अदालत ने बिहार पुलिस को चार महीने के भीतर जांच पूरी करने का आदेश दिया है।
