Delhi HC Questions NDMC Over Mosque Water, Electricity Disconnection Without Notice

Times of India · india

The Delhi High Court has questioned the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) regarding the disconnection of electricity and water supply to the Race Course mosque without prior notice. The court sought a response to a petition filed by the mosque's imam challenging the withdrawal of essential services. The imam's lawyer argued that electricity and water are fundamental rights under Article 21 and cannot be cut without due process.
