Agniveers to Get 2-Year Extension, Permanent Service Option

The Indian government has announced a significant change to the Agniveer scheme, offering a two-year service extension to 75% of Agniveers after their initial four-year term. This extension is voluntary, with no pressure on soldiers to accept it. Those who opt for the extension will receive increased salary and benefits during this period. After completing six years of total service, these Agniveers can apply for permanent roles in the armed forces, provided they meet eligibility criteria and pass selection.

भारतीय सरकार ने अग्निवीर योजना में एक बड़ा बदलाव किया है। अब शुरुआती चार साल के बाद 75% अग्निवीरों को दो साल की सेवा बढ़ाने का मौका मिलेगा। यह एक्सटेंशन अपनी मर्जी से होगा, किसी पर कोई दबाव नहीं होगा। जो लोग एक्सटेंशन चुनेंगे, उन्हें इस दौरान ज़्यादा सैलरी और फायदे मिलेंगे। कुल छह साल की सेवा पूरी करने के बाद, ये अग्निवीर आर्म्ड फोर्सेज में परमानेंट पोस्ट के लिए अप्लाई कर सकेंगे, अगर वे योग्यता पूरी करते हैं और सेलेक्शन पास करते हैं।
