Russia Controls All Of Luhansk, Putin Claims; 10% Of Donetsk Left

Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed that Russian forces now control all of Luhansk and over 90% of Donetsk. He stated that since the beginning of 2026, Russian forces have captured approximately 6,500 square kilometers of territory and 310 settlements. Putin also outlined military priorities for the upcoming autumn-winter period and discussed efforts to establish a security zone along Russia's border regions.
